New Land Rover DEFENDER 2020
Back in 1948 ,the original Land Rover Defender was originally designed to travel over fields on farms. The basic design hardly altered all the way up to when the model discontinued back in 2016. The issues at the end of its iconic range were mainly safety and emissions.
It’s hard to believe that even the later models of the Defender didn’t have airbags! This along with no crumple zones meaning no absorption of impact in any cases of possible accidents. Also the emissions from the diesel engine is another area that needs a great deal of thought in today’s environment. These problems coupled with comfort and handling for today’s drivers and availability in certain countries have forced customers to explore other brands.
Step forward the NEW Land Rover DEFENDER!
The all new model is being fully tested this year with an expected release date of 2020. The new model can’t possibly look like the old defender due to the design of the old body and it will have some new deign that brings it inline with safety in 2020 but hopefully there will be some similarities to the old Defender in some shape or form.
AutoExpress have a full article on the new models testing stage along with some spy shots of a new look. Their article also mentions a starting price of in excess of £40,000 but obviously a lot can change before 2020. To view the article please click here >>> AutoExpress LRD 2020

Don’t forget we are soundproofing specialists and supply our own UK manufactured materials within all our products and kits. Other competitors try to supply imported rolls of anti vibration matting and suggest sticking it everywhere! If that’s the way you would like to tackle the unwanted noise then we have a far superior matting named Killer Mat (formerly NoiseKiller Barrier Mat), but we don’t recommend installing that way. In a Full Land Rover Soundproofing kit we mainly use our NoiseKiller Sound Barrier as this material combines 2 polymer dampening sheets with a layer of open cell acoustic foam sandwiched in between. Without this open cell foam you have no absorption properties and there will still be noise inside the vehicle. This composite material is the best way to reduce noise in a Land Rover and can easily be fitted behind any mats or carpets you may currently have in place.
