Engine Bay

All engine bay parts use our waterproof Noise Killer Vibrasorb material. This is self adhesive with a damping sheet to reduce bonnet vibrations and an open cell Class “0” acoustic foam to absorb engine noise. The foil facing gives a wipe clean maintenance surface which also protects the bonnet lid against heat discolouring..Noise Killer Barrier Mat is applied to the bulkhead, inner wings and wheel arches where possible. A Noise Killer Acoustic Engine Blanket is fitted over the engine.

Interior Front Cab

Noise Killer Barrier Mat is applied inside the cab to the seat boxes, doors, front wheel arches, and foot wells Noise Killer Sound Barrier  are used on the front floors, under the seat boxes and between the seats.

 

Please note all Mercedes kits come with a medium sized acoustic engine blanket and all other vehicles use a small sized acoustic engine blanket (this is purely due to the Mercedes types having the room for a medium.) All VW T5 or T6 vans now come with a custom shaped blanket (approx the size of a medium)

    I was expecting a reasonable reduction in noise levels with this kit but not to the extent I have just experienced on a trip out today. It has totally transformed the ‘van and we can now conduct a conversation without shouting – it’s just so much more civilised. I’m really very pleased with the result 🙂 If there’s one downside, it’s the fact that now we can’t hear the bellow of the engine, I can now hear all the creaks and rattles in the motorhome itself! I can envisage that longer journeys will be a lot less tiring than they used to be. All in all money well spent.

    Hi Steve, I wanted to say thanks for a job well done when you fitted a soundproofing kit to our Ford Transit Motorhome in June this year. The difference in noise levels is truly amazing. We can talk now without needing to shout at each other! The radio need not be on at almost full volume, and most remarkably I have to visually check the Speedo to make sure I am not breaking the speed limit. Betty and I can’t understand why we waited so long before having the soundproofing done, it really has made a huge difference. We recommend those who are considering fitting the kit to not delay, it is an excellent investment.

    Hi Steve, Nigel from Cardiff here thanks for fitting the kit in my new Fiat motor home. It has made a huge difference inside the cab. I have reduced the radio volume from number 20 to 15, and the door pads you fitted have stopped my wing mirrors from rattling. A job well done, thanks.

    Length of time between placing the order and receiving delivery. I cannot recall exactly how long this was, but I was not agitated by toolong a delay.

    Hope that’s OK, the product is fine, lessening a lot of sound inside the cab, I did have one piece left over , I shall find something else that needs soundproofing, hmmmm….David Staniforth

    hello, i have had a kit for a transit that has been very very good. i am now looking for a full kit for a 2011 lwb t5 but not the roof as i am going to put a lifting roof on it.

    any help would be fantastic

Currently the roof comes in the kit but you can call us and we will do you a special price without the roof section incl.

    Hi A while ago you sold me a sound kit for my 2003 Ducato motorhome which with an air suspension kit, just transformed the vehicle. It’s now almost like a car, chatting and listening tot eh radio are feasible whcih they weren’t before. Brilliant. I’ve joisy bought a (noisy) 1977 Rover 3500old. Rover 2000 shape. I guess you don’t have anything for this pre cut but can you sell me a basic kit which covers all the areas you normally do which I can shape up myself? Thanks – CS

    Great products. What a difference. Well worth every penny. NK fitted a 2019 Ford Transit-based motorhome with wheel arch and cab floor insulation and a sound absorbing blanket between the back of the engione and the cab. The difference was exactly what we had hoped for – a very significant reduction in noise in the cab. When the vehicle is cruising there is much less tyre noise and from the road surface. As a result all of the other rattles and creaks are much more obvious and we will have to deal with those! The kit was fitted in under 3 hours. The ‘before’ pictures show just how little effort was made to reduce noise in the cab. Delighted
